Honestamente nose donde empezar. Pienso que documentar este proceso y hacerlo publico podría ayudar a muchas otra personas, o tal vez me ayude más a mi que otra cosa, pero en fin ayudara a alguien. Definitivamente lograre expresar las emociones que me atacan a través del camino y a la misma vez darle luz a personas que puedan estar pasando por lo mismo o que están pendiente de mi.
Hoy cumple una semana de la jugada que hizo que mi hombro se dislocara, una jugada que había hecho muchas otras veces sin el mismo resultado. Para los que no me conocen, aun juego beisbol Doble A con el equipo de Cayey con el cual juego la segunda base. El viernes 24 de marzo, en la primera entrada, un batazo hacia la segunda base hizo que me tirara de cabeza para completar la jugada, cogí la bola como muchas otras veces, pero no pude terminarla como las anteriores. Inmediatamente sentí un dolor intenso en mi brazo y no podia parar de aguantármelo. Rápido supe que algo no estaba bien, mientras yo rodaba en el piso todo el personal medico se dirigía a donde mi para sacarme del terreno. Luego de poner mi hombro en sitio me llevaron al hospital donde me sacaron placas y me administraron medicinas para el dolor e inflamación.
Los días que siguieron fueron los interesantes. Dias de dolor y noches de poco sueño por la incomodidad. Poca movilidad con mi brazo y debilidad. Estudios del hombro y esperas por los resultados y su interpretación que parecían eternas. Ciertamente la ansiedad de conocer la gravedad hacia que los minutos pasaran mas lentos, esperaba lo mejor dentro de lo malo pero sabia que había posibilidades de que tuviera la primera operación de mi vida.
Llego el martes de verme con el ortopeda, que día tan largo! Ya para eso de las 4 de la tarde habíamos confirmado que sí teníamos que someternos a la operación. Rápidamente comenzaron las preguntas en mi cabeza. Cuan larga sera la recuperación? Duele el proceso? Como haremos con nuestra hija que no sabe qué esta pasando y necesita cuidado? Como quedara mi hombro?
Al día de hoy no puedo decirles que tengo todas las respuestas claras. El Doctor asegura que mi hombro quedara al 100%. Mi esposa y padres dicen que no me preocupe por no poder ayudar tan de lleno con la nena. El equipo mostró apoyo total hacia mi y un sin número de personas me han llamado o escrito para mostrar apoyo y hasta darme sus experiencias con una cirugía similar. Si tengo un poco de miedo pero estoy confiado que pondré el 100% de mi para que sea una recuperación exitosa y este lo más rápido posible haciendo lo que me apasiona.
Ya se nos fue la primera semana, en varios días me operan y estamos positivos y de buen ánimo. La semana que viene les cuento mas, pero por ahora recuerden siempre que :
